Connect Freshdesk for controlled lifecycle ticket handoff
Configure a Freshdesk API key, requester mailbox and internal test so approved lifecycle actions create or update the intended ticket.

Use a dedicated authorised agent
Freshdesk API v2 authenticates an agent API key with Basic authentication, using the key as the username and any dummy password. Create or choose an internal agent whose permissions match the tickets Arctic Parade may create and read. Avoid using a founder’s permanent personal key for a customer production workflow. Arctic Parade never needs the agent’s interactive password.
Choose the requester deliberately
The requester email is included when a ticket is created. Freshdesk can create a contact for a previously unknown address and can send notifications according to the helpdesk’s automation rules. Start with a controlled internal mailbox. Do not enter a customer address until the notification and disclosure behavior has been reviewed.
Connect the hosted helpdesk URL
Open Account, then Freshdesk integration. Enter the HTTPS account URL in the form https://your-subdomain.freshdesk.com, the agent API key, internal requester mailbox and your current Arctic Parade password. Custom CNAMEs, paths and non-HTTPS addresses are rejected. The key is verified against the ticket-fields endpoint, encrypted at rest, never displayed and excluded from workspace exports.
Send one controlled ticket
Create a campaign and internally approve a review snapshot containing a real non-sample action. Select only that action and send it to Freshdesk. Confirm the subject contains the stable AP-workspace-action reference, the description and vendor link are correct, and the intended requester notification was the only external message.
Prove update and reconciliation
Send the same action again and confirm the existing ticket is updated rather than duplicated. Change the ticket status in Freshdesk, then use Refresh remote status in Arctic Parade. If a create request is unconfirmed, search Freshdesk for the exact AP reference and attach that ticket; do not blindly retry.
Rotate or revoke access
Replace the API key through the connection form and repeat a read/update test. Disconnecting erases the locally stored key but does not revoke it in Freshdesk, so revoke or rotate the agent key there as well. Retained handoff records remain part of the workspace audit trail.
